Get ready to lace up your running shoes! The Race Back to School 5K on September 21, 2025.

Kids Run: 8:30 AM

Heebner Park 1721 S Valley Forge Rd, Collegeville, PA 19426 (Please use the Valley Forge Road Entrance) 

Parking: Parking is available at the Heebner Park lot via the Valley Forge Road Entrance. Overflow parking will be at the Heebner Road Entrance.

All proceeds from this event benefit the Methacton Backpack Program, which provides essential food to struggling families in our community. The race is brought to you by the Methacton Education Foundation. The Methacton Education Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides supplemental funding for innovative educational programs and initiatives.

5K Race: $35 per participant
Kids Fun Run (under 12): $20 per participant
Important T-shirt Guarantee: You must register by September 5th to guarantee a race day t-shirt.
 

Bib Pick up

• Early Pickup: Saturday, September 20th, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Tosco’s (2908 W Main St, Eagleville, PA 19403).
• Race Day Pickup: If you can't make it Saturday, you can pick up your bib on Sunday, September 21st, starting at 7:30 AM.
• Note: We will not hold onto unclaimed bibs or shirts after the race. Shirts will be distributed to other participants.
   

Race Details

• Prizes: Awards will be given to the top overall finishers and the top three finishers in each age group. The Kids Fun Run is not timed, and every child receives a prize!
• Registration: Race-day registration is available starting at 7:30 AM. Please note that race-day registrants will not receive a t-shirt.
• Timing: The 5K is a professionally chip-timed race by Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Your results will be available online shortly after the race. Your timing chip is on your bib, and it activates when you cross the starting line.

Course Information

• Course Safety: The course is a mix of paved and trail surfaces and will be clearly marked. Course marshals will be stationed along the way to offer assistance.
• Course Etiquette:
  Stay to the Right: Always stay on the right side of the course to allow faster participants to pass safely.
  Walkers: Please be mindful of your pace and stay toward the back of the pack.
  Strollers: If you are using a stroller, please keep it to the side to avoid blocking other participants.
   

Parking
Parking is available at the Heebner Park Valley Forge Road entrance. If you need to leave early, please avoid parking in Lot 1 (closest to the pavilion), as it will be difficult to exit during the race. Overflow parking is available at the Heebner Road entrance.
